A Love-In movement is sweeping the globe, offering an anti-dote to modern day separatism, pessimism and credit crunch blues. These gatherings in the name of love are lifting spirits in tangible meaningful ways, as well as offering a vehicle for people and charities to raise funds and awareness. It’s all about the love!
The Global Love-Ins project is a non-profit initiative created for people to come together, open to and celebrate love, and enjoy heart-warming connecting experiences that have a positive impact individually and collectively. The Global Love-Ins movement received an unprecedented response in the first week of launching in December 2012, with people and organizations in over 1,000 locations worldwide registering to host a Love-In.
Global Love-Ins were initiated by the founder of the Global Love Project, Aine Belton, in response to positive feedback after the Global Love Festival that launched in July 2012 London just before the Olympics (www.GlobalLoveFestival.com), and with requests for more love events in the UK and other countries.
Global Love Day is 1st May and Global Love-Ins also offer a practical means for celebrating humanitarian love in heartening ways. In a changing world where there is much focus on crisis, corruption and the credit crunch, Love-Ins create an opportunity to ‘be the change’, nourish the heart and community spirit and get proactive about a brighter future.
